Ranbir Kapoor To Play The Lead In Kabir Singh Director Sandeep Vanga’s Next Bollywood Film?
Looks like Kabir Singh director Sandeep Vanga is in huge demand after the film was a massive success at the box-office. According to a report, Sandeep Vanga is in talks with Ranbir Kapoor for his next Bollywood film which is a crime drama and will be produced by Bhushan Kumar
Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh, which was a Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy and was also directed by Sandeep Vanga, turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters of this year. The film crossed 200 cr and broke box office records and became the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2019. After this huge success, director Sandeep Vanga had mentioned that he is planning yet another movie in Bollywood after the Shahid Kapoor starrer. Now, looks like the filmmaker and the producer both have a lead in mind and it is Ranbir Kapoor!
As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, Sandeep Vanga is in talks with Ranbir Kapoor for his next Bollywood film, which will be a crime drama and will be produced by Bhushan Kumar. According to the report, Sandeep had a closed door meeting on Tuesday with producer Bhushan Kumar and they both discussed the details and the casting of the film. Turns out the two already have a lead actor in mind and they both think Ranbir Kapoor will be fit for the role. Ranbir has liked the concept of the project and is all set to meet with them to discuss some more. A source close to the development informed Mumbai Mirror, “Sandeep narrated a story idea to Bhushan, who has liked it and will produce the film. They met yesterday to discuss the logistics and casting.” The source further added, “Ranbir has liked the concept and they will be meeting this week to discuss it further. Of course, even if Ranbir gives the nod, they will not be able to roll immediately because he has to wrap up two films, Brahmastra and Shamshera, first and is committed to a third, Luv Ranjan’s next with Ajay and Deepika Padukone, which is being produced by Luv and Bhushan.”
In other news, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen next in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra along with his ladylove Alia Bhatt. Brahmastra also stars stars Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy. Ranbir will also be seen in Shamshera along with Vaani Kapoor. Ranbir will have a double role in the film and will release next year.
